Head Coach Kyle Shanahan told 49ers LT Trent Williams is questionable
49ers Left Tackle Trent Williams who got ankle injury playing against Cleveland Browns missed some part of practice on Friday. Williams didn’t practice in past two days. He has also missed Monday night match against Minnesota Vikings
Williams is considered one of the best tackles in the league, having made ten
pro Bowl and three All-Pro teams. His presence is crucial for Niners since they are facing back to back losses and slipped from top spot to number 3 in power rankings.
As per Head Coach Kyle Shanahan 49ers LT Trent Williams is questionable, which is better than doubtful from last week. He did some work early in practice today.

Ever since he signed with the 49ers three years ago, that has been his primary injury. Williams was in a boot for the 49ers’ season-ending exit interviews last year. Even if he seems to be heading in the correct direction, it is still best to take your time with his comeback because his ankle is somewhat worn out.
Should Williams be unable to practice this week, Jaylon Moore will start at left tackle once more. Surprisingly, he did a really good job there. He is excellent at run blocking, doesn’t register penalties, and isn’t a liability in pass protection. When it comes to making the start, Moore has performed better than many backup offensive tackles.
The 49ers had better hope he continues to play at this level going forward, especially considering he may need to start for a little bit longer. For a large portion of the season, the 49ers have been concerned about the rest of the offensive line. It has been fantastic that Moore has been filling in for Williams because the last thing they need is for him to add to it.
George Kittle on why Trent Williams and Deebo Samuel presence is essential for 49ers.
” Every time our team leaves with the boombox, you can see it. Their exuberance, charm, and self-assurance boost those around them and instill confidence in us. It’s a little different when they’re not around, and we needed to be able to prevail without Trent and Deebo, which we weren’t. Nonetheless, they exude an air that encourages becoming a successful football player whether they’re in the locker room, on the field, or warming up. Apart from their incredible talent, that’s the best thing they provide.”
I feel really confident when I’m in the huddle with Trent Williams and you call a run play because I don’t think anyone can stop Trent and I together. Then there’s the endless things we can do with Deebo to shift him to the backfield and spread Christian McCaffrey wide; that aspect of our game forces defenses to think about a lot of different things, and when they’re thinking about too many things at once, they’re playing slower. That explains why there are so many dramatic plays. Trent and Deebo always add so much to this offense.”
