The Nuggets are taking a precautionary approach to assure there Murray get heals his hamstring completely and there’s a speculation that Murray will need three to four weeks to completely heal and return to play, sources said. According to Head Coach Mike Malone:

“Team doesn’t expect Murray to be back in near future”

Jamal Murray got injured in match against Chicago Bulls on Saturday night. He faced similar injury problems in October. The Coach Mike Malone confirmed that this injury came during a play in match up against Bulls.

Nuggets are replacing Jamal Murray with guard Reggie Jackson. Reggie is a veteran guard who has been in league for 12 years now. He was acquired near trade deadline to fill a spot after he was waived by hornets. He was figured to be back up for Jamal Murray when he was dealing with knee injury.

Murray is averaging 16.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists in Seven Games with 30.9 mins played per game this season while shooting 43.3% from the field and 43.8% from the three-point range.

The Nuggets are 7-1 in their first eight games and are first seed in the Western Conference despite Murray missing last 2 games which means that they can afford to give him rest to heal completely without affecting their playoff run chances.

Since his playoff presence if very important for nuggets as he averaged 26.1 points 5.7 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game in 20 playoff games last season. His role was pivotal for the championship run.
